Did the tour inside a few years ago and found it informative. A lesser known section of the Maginot Line. Cycling in the area I've now found numerous smaller outposts that are part of the fort. Included photos are a few of the small forts from the are in the area.

You can only visit on a guided tour. The times are posted on the entrance to the fort and may differ from what you've seen online. The guide seems great! Lots of jokes and deep knowledge - shame we didn't understand any of it because our French is limited to buying croissants :p So read the Wikipedia article before the tour starts if you don't speak French!

Spectacular views, magnificent military attraction and beautiful town, sort of medieval, very nive walk around and fresh pressed juice in one of the shops. There's a way up to the top of the mountain where it used to be a castle and now only ruins, good experience all in all

We arrived there at 16h for the 16h tour, we arrived just in time. Sadly they had already started the tour even tho the sign says they start the tour 10min later. We were not allowed to join even though the tour had just started. We were not given a reason of why we couldn't join. If you go I would recommend going 30min before and calling or something to avoid this happening. Very disappointed at the staff.

Loved the history of it. The tour is just in French but an english language guide is available and there was no problem comprehending. And the drive up to it! Wow. But the views from the top and from the ruins of a medieval chateau are just spectacular.
